Show us a ‘World of Colour’
Evolve Credit Union are delighted to announce the Credit Union Art Competition is back for 2026, and this year’s theme is:
World of Colour
This year’s theme gives artists the opportunity to explore the colours, experiences and perspectives that make our world unique.
Whether you’re inspired by nature, culture, the people and places around you or simply your own imagination, ‘World of Colour’ is yours to interpret. From bright and bold creations to the little moments of colour we see every day, we can’t wait to see where your creativity takes you.
The Credit Union Art Competition is one of the longest-running competitions of its kind across Ireland and is open to all ages, from children aged 7 and under right through to adults.
Who can enter?
There are two categories in the competition:
General Category
Additional Needs Category
Each category includes the following age groups:
- 7 years & under
- 8–10 years inclusive
- 11–13 years inclusive
- 14–17 years inclusive
- Adult – 18 years & over
There is also a Group category within the Additional Needs Category.
Ages are determined as at 31st December 2026.
The Additional Needs Category encourages participants with physical or intellectual disabilities to express themselves freely and, if they wish, entries do not have to follow the official competition theme.
Creating your artwork
There are plenty of ways to bring your World of Colour to life.
Entries can be created using pencil, charcoal, pen or ink, felt-tip markers, crayon, pastel, watercolours, gouache, acrylics, oils, poster colour or collage.
Each entrant may submit one entry only.
Please remember:
All artwork must be:
- A3 (420mm x 297mm) or A2 (594mm x 420mm)
- Landscape orientation
- Accompanied by a fully completed official entry form
Other sizes and portrait-orientated entries cannot be accepted for adjudication.
For entrants under 18 and entries in the Additional Needs Category, a parent or legal guardian must sign the relevant declaration confirming that the artwork is the entrant’s unaided work.
How to enter
Getting involved is easy:
- Download the official entry form at the bottom of this page.
- Create your artwork inspired by a ‘World of Colour’.
- Complete the entry form and attach it to your artwork.
- Return your completed entry to your local Evolve Credit Union office.
Entries can be returned to any of our offices:

Please check our website for individual office opening hours before returning your entry.
Closing date
Saturday 17th October 2026 at 12pm
All entries must be received by this deadline to be included in the competition.
What happens next?
There are prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each age category at our local Evolve Credit Union stage.
Our winning entries will then progress to the regional Chapter stage, where they’ll be judged alongside winners from other Credit Unions.
Successful entries at regional level will then progress to the Irish League of Credit Unions National judging stage.
So your artwork could go all the way from your local Evolve office to the national competition!
