Heading to university, college or another higher education course?
At Evolve Credit Union, we know that taking the next step in your education is exciting – but it can also bring additional costs.
That's why we're delighted to launch the Evolve Credit Union Student Bursary 2026, giving four of our members the opportunity to receive £750 towards the cost of their studies.
Four £750 bursaries available
We'll award one £750 student bursary in each of our four areas:
- Causeway
- Ballymena
- Randalstown
- Antrim
The bursary could help with the costs that come with higher education, including course fees, accommodation, books and course materials, laptops or IT equipment, travel, specialist equipment or clothing, and everyday living expenses.
Who can apply?
To be eligible for the Evolve Credit Union Student Bursary, applicants must:
- Be 18 years of age or over at the closing date for applications.
- Be a saving member of Evolve Credit Union.
- Have an active Direct Debit of at least £5 per month into their Evolve Credit Union savings account.
- Provide proof of acceptance or enrolment on a recognised higher education course, such as a university, college or equivalent institution.

As part of your application, we'll ask you to tell us a little about yourself, your chosen course and how receiving the £750 bursary would support you during your studies.
Your personal statement can include why you've chosen your course, your future career ambitions, any financial pressures you expect to face, how you would use the bursary and any involvement you have in your local community, volunteering, employment or extracurricular activities.
Your personal statement should be no more than 300 words.
You'll also need to include proof of acceptance or enrolment on your higher education course.
